Coronal Polish Course
Course Description:
Instruction shall introduce the student the legal requirements surrounding dental assisting, registered dental assisting and the scope of practice from the Dental Practice Act regarding coronal polishing; instruction shall introduce the student to sterilization and disinfection techniques for patient and personal protection; disease transmission, microbiology, and application of OSHA and infection control guidelines; oral hygiene, coronal polish, periodontal disease, and preventative products.
- Course Length: 12 HRS
- Clinical hands-on skills: 4 hours
- Hours of lab skills: 4 hours
- Lecture/Didactic: 4 hours
- A copy of a valid government-issued photo identification.
- Proof of completion of a Board-approved 8-Hour Infection Control course.
- Proof of completion of a California Dental Practice Act course.
- Current BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
