Sealant Course
Course Description:
CCDA is now offering the Pit and Fissure Sealant course. It is a 2-day course, typically held on a Friday or Saturday. The cost is $485. You will receive 16 CE units at the completion of all requirements for this course, if you are an RDA you will then be able to legally perform the application of pit and fissure sealants. Class starts promptly at 9am each day and ends at 5pm. You must arrive 10 minutes prior to start time. You must complete pit and fissure sealants on 4 live patients. You are responsible for providing your own patients. You will need to show proof of completed coronal polish course. Any of the following will meet the requirements:
- 1. Pocket RDA license with coronal polishing certification listed.
- 2. Yellow CP certification card or copy.
- 3. Coronal polish CE form or copy.
DID YOU KNOW? Business and Professions Code Section 1752.6 states in part that "A registered dental assistant licensed on and after January 1, 2010, shall provide evidence of successful completion of a board-approved course in the application of pit and fissure sealants prior to the first expiration date of his or her license that requires the completion of continuing education as a condition of renewal".
